On 9 October 2026, the first workshop within the programme “Cybersecurity and Resilience – An Interdisciplinary Approach to Prevention, Investigation and Response to Contemporary Cyber Threats” was held at the Civil Society Resource Centre in Skopje.
The programme is implemented within the “Joint Programme on Good Governance in Cybersecurity in the Western Balkans”, funded by the United Kingdom and the Federal Republic of Germany, with the support of DCAF – Geneva Centre for Security Sector Governance. In North Macedonia, the programme is implemented by the Association for Research and Analysis LEGATUS – Bitola.
The programme brings together contemporary topics in cybersecurity, cybercrime, critical infrastructure, digital investigations, OSINT, and artificial intelligence, combining theoretical input with practical exercises and interactive learning.
The participants represent a diverse mix of state institutions, private companies, civil society organisations, academia and other relevant professional sectors, creating a strong basis for exchange of experience and cross-sector cooperation.
The interest in the programme was very high, and participants were actively engaged throughout the first workshop, especially during the practical exercises and discussions.
We are looking forward to the upcoming workshops and to continuing the learning, exchange and practical work with the participants.
